Abstract
The problem of environmental protection is of constant relevance and requires search for diverse solutions through developments at the highest scientific level. One of the main environment pollutants are the so-called volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The control and elimination of VOCs is significant to environmental protection initiatives. Volatile organic compounds are a general term for pollutants from various sources - cars, industrial processes for obtaining organic chemicals, polymers, paints, etc. VOCs pose a threat to the environment not only due to their toxic nature, but also due to the possibility of causing a number of side effects such as changing the ozone layer, creating smog, etc. Catalytic oxidation of these toxic emissions is one of the most promising methods for their removal. Despite intensive research, the question of creating highly efficient and stable catalysts for the elimination of VOCs in industrial gases still remains open. Perovskite catalysts, as one of the noble metal-free catalysts, have attracted interest in developments in the field of catalytic oxidation in recent years. Due to the wide possibility of varying the composition of the material with a perovskite structure and thereby influencing its functional properties, research on these materials is particularly relevant. Layered perovskite structure materials such as Ruddlesden-Popper phases provide opportunities to modify and improve oxygen-ion transport properties. The main goal of the project is the development of new efficient catalysts with a layered perovskite structure for the complete oxidation of VOCs. The development of new high-tech materials with potential application as catalysts for the elimination of organic pollutants and the optimization of modern synthesis techniques are of considerable interest from a fundamental point of view. Studying the possibilities of controlling the properties of materials with a perovskite layered structure by varying the chemical composition and structure is a prerequisite for obtaining new knowledge with the potential for future application in various technological fields.Назад...
